ADOLESCENCE
Christian was born in Naples, in the Vomero district, on a hot August 13, 1982, at lunchtime. Over the years, he cultivated a passion for painting and drawing. At the age of 11, he perfected his style and technique with the painter/sculptor Tullia Matania, a multifaceted and multi-material artist who influenced his desire to experiment and paint on unusual materials. Two years that would leave a mark on his vision of art.
At 14, his art studies pushed him more and more towards American and international popular art, recognizing in masters such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Mario Schifano, creators of ingenious and accessible works.

STYLE AND INFLUENCES
HIDDEN PAINTER
His classical studies in high school and economics at university reinforce his idea of art as absolute "beauty," as pleasure for the eyes. And it is with this spirit that he begins to create acrylic paintings on various materials, which themselves become the protagonists of the painting, pushing the subject itself into the background.
The support, the background thus becomes the object, the main actor. The "081" series, paintings on the Naples phone book, opens the door to this trend that will later become Christian's trademark.
This was followed by paintings on ancient maps of Naples, a series of Vesuvius on newspaper, and monochromatic glimpses of Naples, revisited with skillful use of colors to enhance its most hidden and esoteric aspects.
But Christian’s real artistic coup is perhaps being able to “find him.” Exactly! To the world, Christian is a professional who works in a multinational company (very PopArt!), has a beautiful family and two wonderful daughters, pays taxes like everyone else, and could be exactly your next-door neighbor… Only a few close friends know about his art, and only a few clients have had the privilege of commissioning one of his paintings. He has never exhibited in public and has never professionally managed his visibility on the web. For this reason, he is a niche and charming painter, whom you discover if you search carefully on the web or if you are part of his circle of acquaintances in Naples.
The love he feels for his city and especially for Vesuvius, which he paints in all its facets and on any material that comes to hand, outlines the profile of a young artist who hides in the alleys of Naples, fueling the allure and desire to own something rare.
